EA Sports has released a teaser trailer to the highly anticipated FIFA 22 game, following the announcement that Kylian Mbappe, Paris Saint-Germain striker, was FIFA 22’s cover athlete for the second consecutive year earlier in the month.
FIFA 22 uses HyperMotion, which “fosters football’s most immersive and realistic gameplay experience” according to EA Sports. This new technology incorporates motion capture from 22 professional footballers at high intensity into the FIFA gameplay. EA’s machine-learning algorithm analyzes more than 8.7 millions frames of match footage. From this it creates new animations in real time to recreate natural movements and interactions on the ball.
“Each player experiences FIFA differently, but the common thread is on-pitch gameplay. We’re thrilled to bring deep innovation there. EA Sports FIFA General Manager Nick Wlodkya stated that HyperMotion enhances the experience on next-generation consoles and Stadia, and completely changes how the game feels. The new game will include HyperMotion. New features in Career Mode. New Volta Football Modes. Pro Clubs and FIFA Ultimate Team. Including a goalkeeper rebuild, as well as FIFA Ultimate Team Heroes.
FIFA 22 is available now for pre-order. It will be released worldwide on October 1st via Playstation 4, Xbox Series X/S and Origin. Only the next-generation consoles will have HyperMotion technology: PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Stadia. Keep checking back for more details.
