Twitch & ASMR
ASMR means self-governing sensory meridian response and refers to the tingling or shuddering sensation caused after particular audios or feelings. Normally, ASMR streams on the platform involve hitting, tapping, or repeating gently spoken words to loosen up audiences. Some will even use binaural microphones shaped like the human ear to record their voice and sounds. Twitch stars like Amouranth and Jenelle “Indiefoxx” Dagres have changed the ASMR scene on Twitch.
Lying on her bed with the microphone, Amouranth licked the microphone for 30 secs for each Twitch subscriber she gained during her ASMR stream. When subscriber goals were passed, she’d alter her attire. After the first goal, she was in her exercise leggings. Indiefoxx, got over 9,000 brand-new subscribers from simply doing simple ASMR streams.
Twitch is cracking down permanently on hot tub streamers and now they will be cracking down on the ASMR streams as well. All 3 streamers have been banned from the Twitch platform, possibly forever. The streamers first came to light with their – policy pushing Hot Tub streams, making upwards of $100,000 per month from their subscribers. Twitch has not commented on the bans and is reportedly in contact with each streamer in regards to their bans.
Fans and haters soon rallied on Twitter to write their comments on the matter.
“Take it to the hub. Stop putting every ASMR creator and their income at risk to make a quick buck and skirt Twitch guidelines just because they nuked your hot tub ad revenue.”
“Man, twitch needs to make up their mind, this is like the 5th or 6th time they ban and unban for no reason.”
Amouranth may soon fully convert to OnlyFans, the platform which is also trying to shed its companies “NSFW” image and attract a more Patreon-like culture. You’ll find Amouranth over there while she remains banned on the Twitch platform. She recently tweeted her OnlyFans account out, making sure everyone knew she would be continuing on the OnlyFans platform.
